MAN AND HIS DREAM

 MAN AND HIS DREAM
Brethren, it would be so imperative to consider the about to be stated fact closely. I’m not in any way tentative because I can visualize the superlative outcome this measure could yield. Mind you, learning is not all about attending classes; it’s about telling yourself that you ought to know that which you’re yet and meant/bound to know.
In Physics, a certain term is known as a “mirage”. In philosophy, similar phenomenon is being tagged as a “fallacy”. In English language, we may have come across a word known as “illusion”. Most literally icons also call it “delusion”. In biology, we may use “myopia”. But I usually address it as panorama insufficiency.
One fateful day, I was sunk in a dismal torpor having witnessed a certain scene that can never be erased from my humble cerebrum. It has to do with a lanky mad man that issued a dirty slap to one of pedestrians passing along his territory located at one of the busy streets in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. You needed to witness the scene. You shouldn’t be biased over this; rather it calls for a thorough meditation amongst the eloquent individuals with great profundity in our midst.
On the other hand, to my greatest amazement, I’ve seen a woman who safeguards her academic certificates as if any other person around her is a prey that specializes on piercing and sucking of certificates. In that regard, she sees herself as the only legible custodian to such documents and applies cruelty whenever one tries to trespass. The aforementioned stories sound crazy; isn’t it?
Our topic remains, man and his dream. Honestly if I’m not mistaken, virtually every man has derailed in respect to the pursuit of his/her dream. I’ve a token story to share that may have a link with this topic.
A good friend of mine residing in the same city, Owerri with me once narrated a highly inspirational experience he encountered to me. Though it might sound crazy but it was truly motivational. He said, one fateful day, he was passing along old Okigwe road by Tetlow, all in Owerri and eventually he encountered a bus heading to Ikeduru and as well Mbano which were situated outskirts of Owerri . He was not meant to travel to any of these places. He wasn’t even a traveler. But having seen a very charming young lady in the bus, he decided to join the travelers. And he sat very close to the lady in question. On the process of the journey, he initiated a conversation with the lady which became progressive; and his motive was also accomplished and successful. Both parties exchanged contact and subsequently the relationship metamorphosed into marriage. Today, the young man is happily married with the lady and she has begotten a bouncing baby boy. Let’s ride on!
Yes, any reasonable person that perceives such story would definitely say that the man acted so crazy, if not idiotic. But I want to unequivocally tell you that madness is required in most of the pursuits towards our respective dreams or desires. And in such case, if you fail to apply madness, failure would definitely await you.
Lest I forget, one of my professor friends and mentors also told me a certain story which has to do with his past experience in the print media. He said; a certain clause was written at the entrance to their news room which reads, “You don’t have to be mad to work here, but it’s necessary”. It sounds crazy too, right? But notwithstanding, it’s highly inspirational.
At this juncture I humbly ask, how do you stride or utilize your opportunity towards actualizing your worthwhile dream(s)? Maybe you easily get discouraged or pissed off the moment challenges/risks set in without knowing that such barrier is necessary and as well requires madness. We must not forget that, there’s no easy way to get to the peak; on the process, you’re bound to encounter thorns or reasonable hurdles which shall fortify your success. It’s not a matter of choice. It’s cowardly to quit as soon as you approach a risky venture because the world itself is an adventure. Yes, the world is not a bed of roses and had never been.
Beloved, we must always endeavour to overcome any risk or challenge that sets into any of our journey to the success room. There’s no measurable limit to what you can achieve; believe in yourself. Everyday dawns with a new challenge; but if you have a winning attitude, every challenge becomes an adventure and a worthwhile opportunity to create a new reality. Free yourself and fly.
Thus, challenge your dream as challenges set in, so your success won’t be a mirage or fallacy. Think about it!
