AAC Guber Candidate in Anambra alleges Statewide Vote-Buying

Ken Akpan
The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the ongoing Anambra State gubernatorial election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has strongly criticised the conduct of the poll, alleging there was statewide vote buying across polling units in the state.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, November 8, 2025, the D-day of the guber poll, Ifemeludike alleged that some voters were selling their votes for as little as ₦3,000 to ₦5,000, while the exercise was being “supervised” by unidentified agents.

It could be recalled that RostrumNews had earlier reported the allegation regarding vote-buying in most polling units across the state, which attracted the presence of the personnel of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
