Tinubu swears in Udeh, Doro as Ministers

The Nigeria's President, Bola Tinubu has sworn in two new ministers namely, Dr Kingsley Udeh, SAN and Dr Bernard Doro from Enugu and Plateau States, respectively.

They were sworn in at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital Territory on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The brief ceremony was held shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was reportedly attended by all cabinet members.

Tinubu urged the newly appointed ministers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, stressing the importance of efficiency and service delivery.

Udeh fills the vacancy created by the resignation of former Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, Uche Nnaji, following controversies surrounding his academic credentials.

Until his new appointmen, he was the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.

On his part, Doro replaces the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who now serves as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The portfolios of the new ministers, who were screened and confirmed by the Senate, were yet to be announced as of the time of filing this report.
