I’m immensely glad to be in your midst today for this historic event. It has always been a thing of joy for me to celebrate the children, because I strongly believe that our future solely depends on them.
When I was a child, I was always looking forward to embrace May 27 of every year otherwise known as ‘The Children’s day’, because it was a day that used to give me a sense of belonging in the society I belonged to. Those days as a kid, I and my contemporary were often citing a poem that would unfold May 27 in earnest.
Today, till this moment I’m standing before you, I can’t stop being filled with the nostalgia of our childhood days owing to the fact that, we celebrated a day like this to the fullness. Suffice to say; such good memories of the past wouldn’t have been possible if the Children’s Day is not observed in Nigeria.
Even as a full-fledged adult, sometimes when I found myself in an occasion like this, I feel as if I’m still a child simply because I know how well we celebrated the Children’s Day during our time. In the same vein, most times in my lonely mood, it is usually the memory of a day like this that keeps me going. Frankly, there’s so much to remember about May 27. This is why I often advise anyone I come across never to stay away from whatever nature has mandated his/her peer group to do.
Today, I stand here before you as the Transition committee Chairman of Oru East LGA to tell you how good I feel to be the Chief Host of this great occasion. Honestly since I assumed office as the TC-Chairman of this LGA, I have been longing to celebrate the ever famous ‘May 27’ and as well celebrate my fellow children.
Yes, I sincerely address you as my ‘fellow children’ due to the fact that, it is only when I feel like a child that I mostly have the privilege to engage in those things my innermost spirit wants me to do thereby enabling me discharge my duties effectively and efficiently, because it is only a child’s heart that has most of the qualities required to attain greatness. I therefore urge each of everyone of us gathered here today to embark on a thorough research on the statement I just made to ascertain its truism.
Among all, I’m using this medium to urge you to continue praying for the release of the school girls that were abducted in Chibok, Bornu State few weeks ago by the Boko Haram sect. Surely, it is worthy to note that the parents of those abducted teenagers are seriously in pains on a daily basis. I would like us to share this pain with them by praying for the safety and as well the release of those innocent students.
I’m also pleading with us not to give up on Nigeria. I’ve a very strong feeling that Nigeria would bounce back again. The only way we could be helpful to this great nation in this challenging period, is to remain faithful and prayerful.
I cannot conclude this speech without appreciating all the leaders of this council, the clergy, gentlemen of the Press, and the traditional rulers who found time to embrace this ceremony. I also want to commend in a very special way all the Transition Committee Councillors and the entire staff of this LGA, most especially the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. Ifunanya Ogbenta, for all their tireless efforts to ensure that this event becomes successful.
Once again my fellow children and our amiable teachers, I welcome you all to this year’s celebration of the Children’s day which we couldn’t wait to embrace. Don’t forget; as you celebrate, everyone you see here today is also celebrating.
I wish all of us safe trips back to our respective destinations. I pray that we shall all live to celebrate another Children’s Day and in a grand style.

Nigeria And Her Unending Security Challenges
NIGERIA AND HER UNENDING SECURITY CHALLENGES
Brethren, I wish to commence with a short inspirational note. Please, take time to think, it’s the source of power; take time to play, it’s the secret of perpetual youth; take time to laugh, it’s the music of the soul; and finally, take time to pray, it’s the greatest power on earth.
Once again my beloved, I sincerely urge you to cheat on your fears, break up with your doubts, get engaged with your faith, and as well get married to your dreams. Please stick to these advices, and you shall testify that the Lord is good.
We are all aware that every society in existence has its own challenges, not unlike our respective families. Yes, in as much as any family remains a society, it is also bound to face its own challenges which may range from one area of life to another.
Most importantly, it is worthy to note that each of the individuals on earth is also being faced with series of challenges which might differ based on individual differences. Of course, we’re all aware of this scenario.
In fact, to be frank and thorough, I want to state categorically that challenges are not only common among human beings or living creatures generally. Believe me, even the non-living things have their respective challenges which is solely attributed to the nature of the society they found themselves, or they were taken to.
At this juncture, let’s get something clear. Nigeria for sure is a society likewise any other country in the world. Therefore, she’s bound to be faced with one or two challenges as she strive towards greatness. I’ve written in the past that, challenges are simply inevitable, just as ‘change’ is.
It is no longer news that Nigeria has been facing too many challenges since she was liberated by her colonial master or ever since she got her independence. Such scenario is normal and natural. So far since the aforementioned period of liberation, challenges have been ranging from corruption, injustice, nepotism, power supply, illiteracy, lack of industrialization, to security.
Presently, it is worthy to note or to take into cognizance that, security challenges have abruptly superseded any other challenges the country is currently facing, even the ‘almighty’ corruption that had earlier been the order of the day.
Security, according to the context of this edition, could be defined as the safety of lives and property of a certain group of people in any given society. In other words, the term "security” signifies safety. Let’s ride on!
The current security challenges in the Nigerian society has been lingering in such a manner that anyone might rightly assume that the country does not have any government in power. And, it won’t be an overstatement if such presumption suddenly turns into an open exclamation due to agony.
Nigeria’s recent security challenges if well traced, originated during the Niger-Delta militancy era. That is; when the aggrieved members of the oil producing states in Nigeria took a very bold cum expensive step and decided to go into violence for their voice to be heard by the Nigerian government. Really, it was as if it won’t end, but surely on the contrary it all came to an end, as a result of the Amnesty that was declared by the late President of the country in the person of Alhaji Umaru musa Yar’adua.
We shall all live to remember the deceased President because of the drastic action he took in order to completely silence the previous security challenges the country was faced with. So, some challenges require a drastic measure.
In the same vein, presently for over three years now, or would I say since Dr. Goodluck Jonathan assumed office as the President of the country, the country has been profoundly faced with another era of untold terrorism coming from the so called Boko Haram sect. this very one has gone beyond human imagination due to its intense deadly nature; it has, no doubt, resulted to hundreds of massacre and all sorts of brutal killings, coupled with the recent abduction of the Chibok School girls.
The truth is that challenges are necessary because it help to channel the affected individual or society to the right direction. Needless to say that, they enable us to be conscious of virtually every step we take in life. And such scenario is worthwhile.
On the other hand, we all pray never to encounter any deadly challenges in life. But Nigeria as a nation has been encountering a quite number of them. Does it signifies that, she doesn’t pray? I’m aware this question would attract series of responses. But if I were to answer the question, I would say that the Nigeria’s ongoing security plight is an action of her attitude. Yes our predicament is solely a product of our collective attitude. Suffice to say; the Nigeria’s ongoing problem lies in her palm.
Thus, I urge us to search our consciences in order to overcome these daily fathomless threats, because if the truth must be told, the ongoing recruitment of thousands of infantry or combatants is not the remedy to our plight. The only remedy is extreme sincerity and calling a spade a spade.
Lest I forget, the banner headline of one of the dailies penultimate week, Wednesday May 28, 2014 precisely, reportedly reads “…Obasanjo to meet the Boko Haram leaders’ relatives.” A statement that came up in subsequent to the recent Yobe bomb blast. This simply means that they already know the backgrounds of the terrorists in question. Isn’t it funny?
Well, I still strongly believe that Nigeria will bounce back again. Eventually all things fall into place; until then, we are expected to laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and always note that everything happens for a reason.
Though, we must endeavour to take time to think because it remains the source of all powers. And for this to work, we must surely be prepared to cheat on our fears. Nevertheless, don’t forget that prayer remains the greatest power on earth. Think about it!

The 'Bring Back Our Girls' Conundrum
THE ‘BRING BACK OUR GIRLS’ CONUNDRUM
Brethren, I could remember vividly when we were kids, we used to heartily cite most children poems both under the sun and rain. Today, I keep on imagining how it would look to people around me if I eventually repeat or come-up with those things we did very well during our childhood stage.
Nevertheless, some present occasions we encounter warrant the repetition of those things we did or said when we were mere toddlers or teenagers as the case might be.
Frankly, barely three nights ago, precisely Friday May 23 – 2014, I had a nightmare; and it was all about ‘The giant of Africa’. In the dream, someone was forcedly dragging me towards one of the border sides of the aforementioned country; and the border in question happened to be a very familiar one to my person. It was really a complicated and horrific dream; believe me, it was a vague one. Till this moment, I’m still bemused over the anomaly. Honestly I’m presently passing through a state of imbroglio as a result of the encounter.
Well, maybe the above dream wasn’t unconnected to the various untold scenes we witnessed almost on a daily basis in the Nigerian state. I’m just thinking aloud. Of course, it’s no longer news that the entire members of the ‘innocent’ nation have been sleeping with one eye open for quite some years now. And as the subsequent days unfold, it appears the situation is being aggravated. It’s really pathetic.
Since the inception of duty of the current federal administration ‘ably’ led by President Goodluck Jonathan, the Islamic sect otherwise known as ‘Boko Haram’ has been terrorizing the country, particularly the North-Eastern region. I learnt that the so-called Boko Haram is currently the world’s third most dreaded terrorist institution; it is reportedly the third to only Al-Shabaab and Al-Quaeda.
The Boko Haram group has been saluting virtually all the facets of the Nigeria’s Northern region with series of bomb blasts and all-manner of explosives. This, no doubt, has been lingering constantly and consistently for quite some time now. I was forced to ask if Nigeria was passing through a kind of spell invoked by our forefathers thereby making me to cite and as well recite most of the dirges we normally cite those days we were in Nursery School. But on the contrary, I’m strongly of the view that our forefathers wouldn’t want anything less than ‘The Best’ for this ‘great’ country. Let’s ride on!
Some weeks ago, Tuesday 15th April 2014, over 200 students in Federal Government Girls’ College, Chibok, Bornu State were allegedly abducted by same Boko Haram insurgents at about some minutes past one in the midnight, barely few hours after they bombed the famous Nyanya Motor Park in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This incident, which is first of its kind, has continued to attract mixed feelings and comments from various groups both across the country and in the diaspora. The most devastating aspect is that, I was informed lately that, the abducted girls were allegedly being raped daily by their abductors.
Reports hold that, while some have dismissed current government’s efforts to curb terrorism, others are insisting that the insurgents are receiving cooperation from high quarters. Still, amidst the various discussions, reports, mixed comments, and what have you, in respect to recuing those abducted innocent school girls, many other terrorist actions had subsequently taken place in several corners of the same Northern region. The most recent one was the one that occurred few days ago, Tuesday May 20, 2014 in Jos, Plateau State; leaving over 150 people dead, many maimed and too many others injured.
Reportedly, I learnt that after the recent Jos bombing, Nigerian government ranks or was blacklisted as worst government in the entire world. The report in question reads, ‘The Jos bombings of Tuesday May 20, 2014 which claimed more than 200 lives according to latest counts, has pushed Nigeria to formally occupy the first position in the ranking of world nations with the worst governments in history.’ I was further informed that other criteria which recently moved Nigeria up the list include, corruption, poverty, and pollution.
Notwithstanding, the most grievous experience to the hearts of the teeming Nigerians remains the abduction of the Chibok school girls. The ugly incident has attracted so many reactions and counter-reactions across the globe, including the readiness of the International Community as regards rescuing the innocent girls. Needless to say that, all hands are on deck to ensure that the ongoing mystery coupled with misery is unravel.
Many crusades and peaceful protests have been conducted by concerned individuals and numerous non-governmental organizations including the religious bodies all over the country concerning the abduction of the school girls, which the inscription on their placards reads, ‘Bring Back Our Girls’. The Bring-back-our-girls crusade has abruptly turned to a mere poem being cited by children of various ages, because nothing different seems to have been done to ensure that the scenario becomes a thing of the past after five good weeks of the relentless efforts. At this juncture, I’m forced to ask again, are we under a kind of spell?
Many rumours and what have you, have been lingering concerning the ‘Sambisa forest’ situated in Adamawa State. Based on the Guardian Newspaper of Thursday May 8, 2014, the Adamawa state governor in the person of retired Admiral Murtala Nyako reportedly stated in an exclusive interview as follows: ‘… Sambisa is about 60 km long and 60 km wide. If you are in the forest, you can only see the next person by your side if you have a torchlight; if not, you can’t see anything. It is a thick forest with heavy trees and wild animals ….’ In the speech he said unequivocally that, unless the Federal Government takes a bold step to destroy the forest, the fight against insurgency may continue to rage in the area.
My humble question regarding this wholesome report remains; is the so-called Sambisa forest inaccessible? Well, whatever the case might be, all I want and all we care for is that, they must bring back our girls; I’m sick and tired of all these Sambisa bullshits and the rest of them. Enough of this conundrum. It’s high time we started thinking in a different direction. Think about it!

Opening Speech By Oru East TC-Chairman During Her Excellency's Visit
THE WELCOME ADDRESS PRESENTED BY ORU EAST TC CHAIRMAN - HON. BARR. OBINNA AMAGWULA, DURING THE COMMISSIONING OF SNARP PHASE III BY HER EXCELLENCY - NNEOMA NKECHI OKOROCHA, TODAY FRIDAY MAY 23, 2014

Your Excellency, I’m so delighted to present this speech before your presence in this historic and epoch-making occasion. I’m indeed deeply pleased to have you in our midst today.
It is no longer news that you are in Oru East to commission the ultra-modern house you built for one of us under the aegis of the Phase-III of the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP), which your Excellency just concluded a while ago in all the existing Local Government Areas in Imo State. We have not forgotten the one you commissioned sometime ago at Ezi-Awo I autonomous Community in Awo-Omamma.
This programme (SNARP) was solely initiated by you, due to your undiluted passion to ensure thorough eradication of shanty huts through the construction of befitting bungalows for the poorest of the poor and the downtrodden in Imo State, most importantly the indigent widows and orphans.
Without mincing words and with all-manner of sincerity, in the history of this state, this would be the very first time we would witness such capital intensive project duly oversees by a First Lady. You have really proven to us beyond any reasonable doubt that your love for the good people of Imo State and Oru East in particular remains indisputable and relentless, just like that of a mother to her beloved children in whom she is well pleased. We sincerely promise you that we shall live to remember this uncommon generosity.
Honestly Ma, we the good people of Oru East gathered here today, lack the appropriate word we could use to express our joy having counted us worthy to benefit from this remarkable and conscience-driven programme widely known as She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP). Needless to say that, we are humbled to be your host in regard to this ever-charming initiative that has granted your Excellency a well-deserved name, “Eji Ulo Eme Ogo”.

It is no longer news that you are in Oru East to commission the ultra-modern house you built for one of us under the aegis of the Phase-III of the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP), which your Excellency just concluded a while ago in all the existing Local Government Areas in Imo State. We have not forgotten the one you commissioned sometime ago at Ezi-Awo I autonomous Community in Awo-Omamma.
This programme (SNARP) was solely initiated by you, due to your undiluted passion to ensure thorough eradication of shanty huts through the construction of befitting bungalows for the poorest of the poor and the downtrodden in Imo State, most importantly the indigent widows and orphans.
Without mincing words and with all-manner of sincerity, in the history of this state, this would be the very first time we would witness such capital intensive project duly oversees by a First Lady. You have really proven to us beyond any reasonable doubt that your love for the good people of Imo State and Oru East in particular remains indisputable and relentless, just like that of a mother to her beloved children in whom she is well pleased. We sincerely promise you that we shall live to remember this uncommon generosity.

As the Imo State First Lady visits Oru East Local Government Area tomorrow for the commissioning of the Phase-III of the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) that recently took place in the area, the entire people of Oru East are strongly of the view that, it is indeed a long-awaited event due to the uniqueness of the project in question.
Due to her extreme love for humanitarianism and as a mother par excellence, as soon as she assumed office as the Imo First Lady, Her Excellency Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha through a divine inspiration assured the good people of Imo State that she would stride relentlessly to ensure that poverty is drastically alleviated among Imo indigenes in line with the Rescue Mission Agenda of her darling husband – Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
In view of this, Her Excellency went ahead to institute a remarkable programme known as She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) under the aegis of a Non Governmental Organization – the Women Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI), solely founded by her. The inauguration of the aforementioned project attracted dignitaries and well-spirited individuals from all walks of life across the federation.
This programme instituted by the Imo First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha is driven by her intense passion to ensure thorough eradication of shanty huts through the construction of befitting bungalows for the poorest of the poor and the downtrodden in Imo State, most especially the indigent widows and orphans.
With all sincerity, in the history of Imo State and beyond, this would be the first time we would witness such capital-intensive project being spearheaded by a First Lady. In the past, we only saw the First Ladies share bags of food stuffs and other valuable items among the indigent women. But the present First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha has proven to us that one can still thrive beyond his/her strength if he/she is truly willing and determined, having introduced and as well implemented the ongoing life touching programme (SNARP).
The astonishing and most amazing aspect of SNARP is that, it is being carried out simultaneously in all the existing twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas in the state. Most importantly, the consistency and the ebullience constantly showcased by the Imo First Lady while carrying-out the projects, is not in doubt. This was why the entire Imo women unanimously crowned her with an impeccable and memorable title “Eji Ulo eme ogo”.
At the moment, the Phases I, II and III of the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) have respectively taken place in all the LGAs in Imo State, and the commissioning of the Phase III which was recently rounded-off by Her Excellency is ongoing in all the LGAs. And, that of Oru East is expected to take place tomorrow Friday 23rd May, 2014.
Another impressive part of SNARP is that, during the commissioning of the furnished ultra modern two-bedroom apartments built for the indigent women or orphans, the beneficiaries would be provided with other fascinating living facilities; and among these, a certain trade would be established for each of them afterwards. Above all, all the affected orphans stands a chance of being adopted by Her Excellency for the rest of their lives.
Suffice to say; the benevolent Imo First Lady otherwise known as the hope of the hopeless, is not just beautifying our indigent women and orphans with enticing houses, but also extracting them from the zone of poverty for eternity.
Tomorrow May 23 - 2014, by the special grace of God, the indefatigable Imo First Lady would be in Oru East to commission the befitting bungalow she built for some of the indigent widows in the area in line with the Phase III of the SNAR Project. And, the proposed ceremony is expected to take place at the premises of the beneficiaries.
As the Transition Committee (TC) Chairman, Hon. Barr. SALUTATION: An Obligation Or A Voluntary Gesture?
SALUTATION: AN OBLIGATION OR A VOLUNTARY GESTURE?
Brethren, we could see for ourselves that this congregation is really improving and as well increasing on a daily basis. if I’m to comment on this, I would loudly and boldly say that such development wasn’t by our might, rather that of the supremacy.
Two nights ago, I was busy watching a certain melodrama on the humble television situated in my sitting room. The drama was all about a housewife who deeply lacks honesty, and she nags a lot even in the public; in other words, she also lacks respect. As a psycho/social analyst, I would say that the woman in question was in a severe social bondage.
Let me quickly remind you of one existing fact. There’re three very important words in life, which are love, honesty and respect; without these in your life, you’ve nothing.
Love, according to the context of the above clause, is the state in which you behave in a kind and caring way towards someone else because his/her happiness matters a lot to you. Also, ‘honesty’ is the state in which one does not cheat or break the law, and can be trusted with valuable things. Furthermore, honesty is that act your conscience tells you is right; thus, it has to do with one’s conscience. On the other hand, ‘respect’, in a nutshell, is one’s good and genuine opinion of someone or others.
Lest I forget; it’s high time we commenced. Salutation in a concise term, based on the context of this edition, is simply a greeting to someone. Greeting, on its own part, is something friendly that you say or do on meeting someone. This edition is trying to enquire if, salutation/greeting is supposed to be a statutory obligation or a mere voluntary gesture.
In an Igbo setting for instance, salutation is widely recognized by all and sundry as a mark or symbol of respect one owes his/her elder. In other words, everyone who hails from Igbo land expects a salutation or something similar from his younger ones each time they meet. Such ideology/norm is not unconnected to the type witnessed among the people of the Yoruba nation. Even, in an average or typical Yoruba community, salutation is being taken/considered more seriously than that of the Igbo nation; because in most cases, the person dishing out the greeting is expected to bow, or better still prostrate. Thus, on the average, an Igbo/Yoruba community takes salutation as a statutory obligation. Let’s ride on!
In a formal setting; for instance a corporate organization, every staff is expected to present his greeting to his senior in the establishment, regardless of their ages. Therefore, in such environment or community, it is statutory for any staff to send his greeting (salutation) to his superior or senior colleague. In this case, most times the junior staff wouldn’t wait until he/she meets his/her superior, rather, courtesy invariably demands that he seeks for the face of the affected or concerned superior by taking a walk to his/her office in order to extend his greeting. This aspect testifies the severity of the obligation in a formal setting.
Then, considering the military or paramilitary setting, you will bear me witness that, greeting or salutation is strictly obligatory; in the sense that, each officer must tender his/her salutation to his senior officer. This gesture is meant to take place when the officers involved, i.e. the junior and the senior officers, are in their formal uniform. But on the contrary, it’s often observed even when any of the officers or both of them is/are in mufti; this also signifies the severe nature of the obligation.
In my own singular view, there are certain factors that mustn’t be taken for granted whenever the issue of salutation or greeting is raised. In as much as it is mostly and widely noted that salutation is not a voluntary obligation, we are still bound to acknowledge some vital facts that accompany salutation.
From my perspective, salutation is meant to be reciprocal. Both in the formal or informal (native) settings, salutation or greeting is expected to be reciprocated whenever it is being dished out by the younger or junior person/staff as the case might be. Thus, one could describe salutation as an exchange of pleasantry irrespective of the ‘setting’ in question. Even, sometimes the elder person or the senior colleague could extend his/her greeting first in order to attract the attention of the younger or junior one. We really need to comprehend this fact to the fullness so we could put an end to the ongoing inconsequential bickering or pandemonium in respect to salutation (greetings).
Above all, I wish to remind you that ‘salutation is not love’. This simply means that salutation doesn’t signifies that the person presenting the pleasantry truly loves you. Suffice to say that, salutation could be deceptive or a sign of deceit. So we must endeavour not to fall prey to any deceptive salutation/greeting. Believe me, it is better for one to stay without receiving any respect in the name of salutation than to receive the ones that are fake or misleading. Of course, someone who often receive fake salutation from his younger/junior ones could be referred to as one in a ‘Social bondage’. Please, beware of insincere salutation at all times because it maims, and kills too.

THE NEED TO SUPPORT THE ONGOING ‘SHE NEEDS A ROOF PROJECT (SNARP)’
Brethren, a good friend of mine who bears ‘Izuawuba’ took his precious time penultimate week to give me the insight on the real meaning of the native name (Izuawuba). According to him, the name simply means, ‘Secrecy does not beget genuine wealth or riches’. In other words, one who does things in secret or who often hides himself will definitely finds it difficult to embrace any genuine thing in abundance.
Mind you, ‘wealth’ does not only represent abundance of money. Thus, it could be abundance of good health, knowledge, wisdom, power, fame, or what have you. Yes, one may be rich in any area of life. Needless to say; we must reach out to people if we are blessed with anything, in order to embrace the abundance of it. Because, anything done in secret can never yield something genuine, talk less of its abundance.
So if you’re blessed with wealth/riches in respect to money, endeavour to touch people’s lives with it, so that, the riches would be surplus to your greatest delight. Well, that’s by the way; it’s high time we faced the theme of today’s crusade squarely. And it’s no longer news that our theme for today remains ‘She Needs A Roof Project’.

On this note, I urge all the Imo State stakeholders both home and in the diaspora to join hands in uplifting this historic magnanimous gesture by contributing their respective quotas. We can also emulate the project by instituting other similar programmes across the state.
No doubt, considering the unprecedented achievements so far, it is obvious that the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) has surely come to stay in Imo State; but all hands must be on deck for its object to be totally actualized.

Brethren, a good friend of mine who bears ‘Izuawuba’ took his precious time penultimate week to give me the insight on the real meaning of the native name (Izuawuba). According to him, the name simply means, ‘Secrecy does not beget genuine wealth or riches’. In other words, one who does things in secret or who often hides himself will definitely finds it difficult to embrace any genuine thing in abundance.
Mind you, ‘wealth’ does not only represent abundance of money. Thus, it could be abundance of good health, knowledge, wisdom, power, fame, or what have you. Yes, one may be rich in any area of life. Needless to say; we must reach out to people if we are blessed with anything, in order to embrace the abundance of it. Because, anything done in secret can never yield something genuine, talk less of its abundance.
So if you’re blessed with wealth/riches in respect to money, endeavour to touch people’s lives with it, so that, the riches would be surplus to your greatest delight. Well, that’s by the way; it’s high time we faced the theme of today’s crusade squarely. And it’s no longer news that our theme for today remains ‘She Needs A Roof Project’.
Due to her extreme love for humanitarianism and as a mother par excellence, as soon as she assumed office as the Imo First Lady, Her Excellency Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha through a divine inspiration assured the good people of Imo State that she would stride relentlessly to ensure that poverty is drastically alleviated among Imo indigenes in line with the Rescue Mission Agenda of her darling husband – Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
In view of this, Her Excellency went ahead to institute a remarkable programme known as She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) under the aegis of a Non Governmental Organization – the Women Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI), solely founded by her. The inauguration of the aforementioned project attracted dignitaries and well-spirited individuals from all walks of life across the federation.
This programme instituted by the Imo First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha is driven by her intense passion to ensure thorough eradication of shanty huts through the construction of befitting bungalows for the poorest of the poor and the downtrodden in Imo State, most especially the indigent widows and orphans.
With all sincerity, in the history of Imo State and beyond, this would be the first time we would witness such capital-intensive project being spearheaded by a First Lady. In the past, we only saw the First Ladies share bags of food stuffs and other valuable items among the indigent women. But the present First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha has proven to us that one can still thrive beyond his/her strength if he/she is truly willing and determined, having introduced and as well implemented the ongoing life touching programme (SNARP). Let’s ride on!
The astonishing and most amazing aspect of SNARP is that, it is being carried out simultaneously in all the existing twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas in the state. Most importantly, the consistency and the ebullience constantly showcased by the Imo First Lady while carrying-out the projects, is not in doubt. This was why the entire Imo women unanimously crowned her with an impeccable and memorable title “Eji Ulo eme ogo”.
At the moment, the Phase I, II and III of the She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP) have respectively taken place in all the LGAs in Imo State, and the commissioning of the Phase III which was recently rounded-off by Her Excellency is ongoing in all the LGAs.
Another impressive part of SNARP is that, during the commissioning of the furnished ultra modern two-bedroom apartments built for the indigent women or orphans, the beneficiaries would be provided with other fascinating living facilities; and among these, a certain trade would be established for each of them afterwards. Above all, all the affected orphans stands a chance of being adopted by Her Excellency for the rest of their lives.
Suffice to say; the benevolent Imo First Lady otherwise known as the hope of the hopeless, is not just beautifying our indigent women and orphans with enticing houses, but also extracting them from the zone of poverty for eternity.
Truly, the SNAR Project solely instituted and oversees by Her Excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, is worth supporting by all and sundry because it is genuinely a philanthropic programme that is aiming at waving goodbye to abject poverty in the whole of Imo State in spite of the arduous nature of the initiative. On this note, I urge all the Imo State stakeholders both home and in the diaspora to join hands in uplifting this historic magnanimous gesture by contributing their respective quotas. We can also emulate the project by instituting other similar programmes across the state.

The Ongoing Cyber Crimes
REVIEWING THE ONGOING GLOBAL CYBER CRIMES
Brethren, surely it’s needless to ask you how was your night; because apparently, going by your respective facial countenances, I can boldly see for myself that you had a very fantastic night. I most sincerely welcome you all to this special edition of our ongoing social crusade.
“It’s a completely new game now”, says a commander involved in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which was heading from Malaysia to Ukraine with 239 people on board that vanished into thin air from radar. Furthermore, he (the commander) reportedly said, “We went from a chess board to a football field”.
If I may ask; how does the above utterance sounds to your hearing? So funny, right? Nevertheless, the bone of contention is that any phenomenon or occurrence can take a different dimension as time goes on. But sometime, the subsequent dimension(s) we encounter might not just sound funny, but as well seem unfounded or deadly as the case may be.
A good friend of mine residing in Asia, precisely Japan, called me on phone penultimate Monday to ascertain how Nigerians were coping with the hurdles as regards internet hacking. The friend and colleague in question is my fellow ICT consultant. I responded unequivocally that Nigeria as a society was growing equally with western (civilized) nations such as U.S.A and England in respect to internet/cyber connectivity, but the major plight being faced by the said country was that, hackers were coming up with various advanced hacking softwares or techniques beyond the knowledge of most ICT personnel in the country.
Frankly, internet/computer hacking which constitutes the most recent cyber crimes, is real and really eating deep in the global internet connectivity. ‘Computer Hacking’, in a concise term, is the act of breaking into someone else’s computer systems, especially in order to acquire secret information that is stored there. In the same vein, a computer hacker is someone who tries to break into computer systems belonging to others for the purpose of getting secret or confidential information stored in them.
Apart from internet hacking which is widely in circulation and “lucrative”, there are other many internet/cyber criminal acts taking place globally on a daily basis. Such acts include the ones occurring on the numerous existing social media.
Prior to the invention of the Internet, criminals had to dig through people’s trash or intercept their mails to steal their personal information. Now that all of these information are available online, criminals presently use the Internet to steal people’s identities, hack into their accounts, trick them into revealing the information, or infect their devices with malware. A malware is a “computer threat”, which includes the famous computer virus. Let’s ride on!
Most cyber crimes are committed by individuals or small groups. Though large organized criminal groups also take advantage of the Internet. These so-called professional criminals find new ways to commit old (ancient) crimes. They treat cyber crimes like a business and form global criminal communities. Criminal communities share strategies and tools and can combine forces to launch coordinated attacks. They even have an underground marketplace where cyber criminals can purchase and sell stolen information or identities.
It’s very difficult to track cyber criminals down, because the Internet makes it easier for people to do things anonymously and from any location on the globe. So many computers used in various destinations have actually been hacked and are being controlled by someone far away.
For hackers who want to come clean and turn away from crime out of pretence, one option is to work for the people they used to torment by becoming their security consultants or employees. These set of hackers are referred to as “Grey Hat Hackers”. In the past, they were addressed as “Black Hat Hackers” who used their computer expertise to break into systems and steal information illegally while posing as a friend or dedicated employee/consultant. But presently, some of them are acting as “White Hat Hackers” who specialize in testing the security strength of their clients’ information systems.
If the interest of the aforementioned set of hackers (White Hat Hackers) is to be paid, they will attempt to hack into a company’s network and then present the affected company with a report detailing the existing security loopholes of the company and how those anomalies can be tackled. The advantage of this is that, they can use their skills for a good cause and help stop other cyber criminals, since keeping up with security and cyber criminals is a fulltime job and many companies can’t afford financially to have someone totally dedicated to it.
Another recent devastating aspect of internet hacking is the “Social Engineering” routine. Social engineering is a tactic used by cyber criminals that use lies and manipulations to trick people into revealing their personal information. Social engineering attacks frequently involve very convincing fake stories to lure victims into their trap. Some of these tricks include sending victims an email that claims there’s problem with their account and has a link to a fake website, trying to convince victims to open email attachments that contain malware, pretending to be a network/account administrator and asking for the victim’s password to perform maintenance activity, claiming that the victim has won a prize but must give their credit card information in order to receive it, promising the victims that they will receive millions of dollars if only they will help out the sender by giving them money or disclosing their bank account details, just to mention but a few.
The recent dimensions of cyber crimes, which is becoming funny, barbaric and deadly, have called for constant and consistent update of advanced anti-hacking computer softwares by software producers, and the adequate dissemination of the said softwares to the apt quarters. Presently most developing countries are less-privileged in regard to advanced anti-hacking or anti-malware softwares.
On the other hand, a strict and grievous law regarding cyber crime ought to be implemented by all the countries in the world. Such law mustn’t bear anything less than capital punishment if anyone is found guilty. Also, thoroughly equipped Internet Communication Agencies comprising well experienced experts are expected to be established by the respective countries.
And, those involved in these criminal acts with the sole aim of bankrupting their victims should as a matter of urgency, endeavour to turn a new leaf to distance themselves from the dangers that will surely befall them.
Above all, the potential victims either individuals or corporate organizations, must also take precautions of the above mentioned internet/computer scams in order not to exclaim ‘Had I known’. Truly, “A word is enough for the wise”. Think about it!

Gov. Okorocha's Recent Visit to Oru East LGA
THE RECENT GOVERNOR’S VISIT TO ORU EAST LGA (Aired Newstalk)
It is no longer news that on the 31st March, 2014, all roads led to Oru East Local Government Area situated in Oru Ancient Kingdom, in honour of the Governor Rochas Okorocha’s visit in respect to inspection of the ongoing projects in the area.
Prior to the day the governor arrived Oru East, the entire people of the council which encompass the elders, youths and children, were working assiduously and unrelentlessly to ensure that the long-awaited day becomes a success, not withstanding that, the event took place one week after the day being Monday March 24, 2014, it was formerly stipulated to take place. No doubt, this was due to the extreme love the good people of Oru East have for the governor, coupled with the impeccable passion they have for the Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwula.
Of course, the unquantifiable love the people of Oru East have for Governor Rochas Okorocha is not unconnected to how they unanimously waited patiently and persistently towards the arrival of the governor on that fateful day. In spite of the some hours delay encountered by the people in question, as a result of the staff of office that were being issued to the ninety (90) out of one hundred and three (103) elected Traditional Rulers from different Autonomous Communities in the state by the governor, the people eschewed any form of pessimism thereby remained steadfast till the governor arrived at some minutes past two in the afternoon owing to the fact that, they were waiting to receive the only performing governor.
One of the most remarkable things that transpired while the governor and his entourage were heading to the Oru East headquarters situated at Omuma, was that, the governor observed four stopovers at four different localities which include Umueme junction, Nichben junction, Umubochi junction and Awo-Omamma junction respectively, all in Awo-Omamma which is the town that leads to the council headquarters, due to the overwhelmed teeming crowd he encountered at the respective junctions.
As soon as His Excellency arrived the council headquarters – Omuma, he commissioned the gigantic befitting hall (Owelle Rochas Okorocha Hall) situated at the headquarters, which was named after the governor. The aforementioned hall built by the TC-Chairman, Barr. Obinna Amagwula and his amiable team, is not just a hall, but as well coupled with befitting office apartments and other laudable facilities.
The TC-Chairman, Hon. Barr. Obinna Augustus Amagwula, who commended the governor for making both the erection and completion of the Owelle Rochas Okorocha Hall successful through the magnanimity he showed to the people of Oru East, also pointed out that, the public Power Supply at the council headquarters which was in total blackout for over three years, was restored by his administration within his short stay in office.
In his speech, the governor who expressed his delight over the level of achievements recorded by the TC-Chairman, proudly announced to the people present that he has adopted the TC-Chairman in the person of Barr. Obinna Augustus Amagwula as his beloved son in whom he was well pleased; a statement that aroused unreserved applause from the gathering.
The governor, Chief Owelle Rochas Okorocha, having painstakingly enumerated all the projects taking place at Oru East which include the Millenium Development Goals’ projects, went further to categorically disclose the fact that, about 26.8km roads ranging from all nooks and crannies of Oru East which inculcate Awo-Omamma- Okwudor road, Umuokwe-Amiri-Omuma road, Oluoha-Omuma road, Akatta-Akuma road, Akuma-Amagu road, among others, had been awarded to various contractors; a disclosure that was to the people’s greatest surprise.
According to the governor, about #887 million has already been coughed up for the said contracts which worth a total sum of #1.611 billion. Each of the affected contractors present at the occasion was mandated to sign a surety expressing their readiness to complete their respective contracts within a short period of time. Also, the governor promised to go in search of those contractors who were not present.
Every dick and harry of Oru East who was present at the ceremony testified boldly to the fact that, it was really a memorable event, because they saw by themselves that the governor having proven to the people of Oru East that they were ranking number one in appointive positions in the state in appreciation to the fact that they were the people that made it possible for him to emerge as the governor of Imo State, is indeed a people oriented governor.
At this juncture, I want to sincerely appreciate all the leaders, youths and children of Oru East who contributed in one way or the other to ensure that that occasion became successful, such as Prince Marshal Okafor Anyanwu, Chief Engr. Chime Nzeribe, Hon. Donatus Ejimfugha, Evang. Esther Obong Egbuna, Dr. Emma Ogbenta, Chief Emodi Amagwula, Chief Dr. Nicholas Onwumere, Mrs. Nma Nzeribe Michael, Hon. Lawrence Nwobodo, Mrs Stella Odogwu, the Traditional Rulers, the Transition Committee members, of course most importantly, the ebullient Transition Committee Chairman who has written his name in gold and on the sand of time – Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwula, and many other individuals and groups too numerous to mention.
Above all, I cannot conclude without mentioning the Senior Advocate of the Masses, Chief Owelle Rochas Okorocha – OON, who out of his kind heartedness thoroughly ensured that the occasion came to past by the special grace of God, despite all the challenges faced prior to the manifestation of the event.
One thing you must know for sure is that, even all the leaves in the bushes situated in Oru East and its environs are still rejoicing that Governor Okorocha visited Oru East in regard to inspection of the ongoing projects in the area, when a trustworthy and competent son of the council, Barrister Amagwula is piloting the affairs of the council; with the view that, Oru East in its entirety will soon become a place to reckon with.
Needless to say unequivocally; with Barr. Obinna Amagwula being in charge of Oru East while Governor Rochas Okorocha is piloting the affairs of Imo State, no doubt, would yield more immeasurable fruits in Oru East LGA. This is why every corner in Oru East cannot cease to wear a smiling face.

Above all, I cannot conclude without mentioning the Senior Advocate of the Masses, Chief Owelle Rochas Okorocha – OON, who out of his kind heartedness thoroughly ensured that the occasion came to past by the special grace of God, despite all the challenges faced prior to the manifestation of the event.
One thing you must know for sure is that, even all the leaves in the bushes situated in Oru East and its environs are still rejoicing that Governor Okorocha visited Oru East in regard to inspection of the ongoing projects in the area, when a trustworthy and competent son of the council, Barrister Amagwula is piloting the affairs of the council; with the view that, Oru East in its entirety will soon become a place to reckon with.
Needless to say unequivocally; with Barr. Obinna Amagwula being in charge of Oru East while Governor Rochas Okorocha is piloting the affairs of Imo State, no doubt, would yield more immeasurable fruits in Oru East LGA. This is why every corner in Oru East cannot cease to wear a smiling face.

THE ONGOING NATIONAL CONFERENCE: LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!
Greetings brethren! I sincerely welcome you all to another special segment of this holistic crusade we started together otherwise known as “Fancy Facts”. Apparently, the Almighty has been by our side ever since we commenced this humanitarian activity; this is the reason I personally can’t thank Him enough not unlike I’ve always said.
Having witnessed so many calamities in the Nigerian state, it’s obvious that life remains the most precious and expensive tool on earth in its entirety. Or if you wish to counter the opinion, you can kindly and boldly forward yours anytime as it pleases your person. Of course, you know exactly how to reach me.
Having noted the above opinion, I wish to use this avenue to reemphasize on our respective daily prayers. Please, no matter how vigorous you intend to pray or you’ve been praying, I want to let you know that prayer over the sustenance of our lives cannot be compromised for whatsoever reason. Thus, as you pray on a daily basis, I expect you to concentrate on the protection and sustenance of your life by the supremacy. Because, if your precious life goes beneath the forbidden six-feet, then everything about you here on earth has automatically gone as well. Yes, the arithmetic is just as easy as summing one to one which definitely would give you two.
Come to think of it; have you ever, even for once, wondered why people can’t stop crying or mourning over the loss of their loved ones? The answer is very simple. It is simply because they would never be privileged to have an encounter with the departed soul or the deceased person again, till they join him/her if possible.
The bone of contention of my today’s crusade is that, one’s life can never be compromised for anything. Therefore, we must all work to ensure that our lives are sustained. And for our lives to be sustained, we must endeavour to embrace or extol peace among us at all cost. I’m sure you haven’t forgotten based on one of my recent publications, that, peace can never be found if there’s no unity among the people or group in question?
Late last year, precisely 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan proposed to come up with a national conference. He subsequently reiterated that there would be no “going back” on the proposed National Conference; with the view that, it would help to restore normalcy in respect to unity and peace among the Nigerian citizenry.
It’s no longer news that since the assumption of office of Mr. President, Dr. Jonathan precisely, there has been fathomless lawlessness and high level of insurgency in Nigeria, the northern region to be precise, thereby constituting unquantifiable pandemonium on the Nigeria’s polity. No doubt, this was one of the reasons the Presidency insisted on the national conference. Let’s ride on!
Afterwards, the proposed national conference was inaugurated few weeks ago constituting about 492 delegates from all facets of the country. Delegates were also drawn from various recognized social/professional groups existing in the country. And the ongoing National Conference is officially expected to last for several months as planned.
One of my old time friends in the diaspora lamented recently, albeit humorously, that most of the delegates are “group of tired and sick bones”. Such observation was not unconnected to the slumping witnessed among them almost on a daily basis. Though he might be right, but I’m strongly of the view that the people in question were selected based on their unreserved experience; thus, it’s a way forward.
One fact we must not take for granted is that, for the ongoing National Conference taking place in Abuja to actualize its anticipated vision, the entire delegates are expected to possess some crucial idiosyncrasies. And the qualities expected of them must not be compromised for whatsoever reason if truly that, our primary mission is to foster formidable unity amongst the occupants of the nation regardless of social, religious or political affiliations.
First, each of the delegates must concentrate on the national interest at the expense of their respective individual or ethnic interests. Of course, the national interest is nothing but unity coupled with absolute peace. President Goodluck Jonathan has already stated during his inaugural speech that, any view/opinion contrary to national unity coming from any of the delegates would not be accepted. So for them to arrive at the apt point, they ought to pocket their selfish desires. On this note, they must eschew their personal grievances, and consider only that of the nation.
Secondly, they should endeavour to wear a bold skin to enable them earn their views freely without any iota of fear or intimidation. Their views count, that is why they were nominated and as well appointed to represent their respective groups. Therefore, they shouldn’t let their people see their representations as wastes. In other words, they must all live up to the general expectation of their respective groups.
Thirdly, they must not play politics with the opportunity granted to them by their people. They ought to endeavour to draw a dichotomy between the major object of the conference and the Any Other Business (A.O.B). the delegates must realize that the conference is not in any way a political convection. Suffice to say that, they must distance themselves from politics as long as they remain in that conference; thus, they should leave politics for those who own it. A word is enough.
Lastly, and most importantly, the Federal Executive Council in conjunction with the Legislative Council must endeavour to implement anything of national interest the delegates would arrive at; if not, the ongoing national conference would be tagged by all and sundry as a mere jamboree afterwards. So if during the conference, they agreed on any issue that would promote national unity, the Presidency ought not to hesitate in the implementation of the agreement. In other words, politics mustn’t be attached by our men at the top.
Having noted the above facts, we must on our own accounts pray and fast enthusiastically and vehemently to ensure that our delegates obtain what we ask them to purchase in the market, because we are aware that anything less than our expectations won’t be accepted from them.
For crying out loud; we’ve already lost millions of lives and property due to lack of unity. Thus, we must all work collectively to restore this lost glory. And the time to act is now. Think about it!

Bitter Politics Among Politicians
THE NEED TO SILENCE BITTER POLITICS AMONG POLITICIANS
Brethren, I can’t thank you enough for always having the interest of this God-chosen congregation at heart. And, I won’t stop appreciating you for making our success so far, a reality. Honestly, you all have sacrificed your very best towards the actualization of our present height.
Believe me, good things come to those who wait. But surely, better things come to only those who work for it. This is a fancy fact. But the bone of contention is that, we must be extremely careful and conscious while thriving towards securing the better things as mentioned above.
Based on the above note, I wish to ask all of us; how do we work on a daily basis in order to obtain the better and as well best things in life? In other words, do we invariably prefer taking the short-cut? This is a sincere question that calls for thorough meditation among every soul that lives on earth.
If you ask me how I work towards obtaining the better things in life, I’ll gladly tell you that, in every circumstance having done my best, I sincerely look up to the Almighty to do the rest. I do so simply because I personally believe that our best is not an assurance towards receiving the anticipated “better/best things”. Suffice to say that, God or nature has the final say or pronouncement in any circumstance. Well, that is me; I don’t know about you, in spite of the fact that we belong to the same congregation. Therefore, it’s your duty to inform or better still educate me on your own routine.
Each time I glance at the Nigerian political arena in its entirety, I don’t hesitate to wear a smile, even if it’s fake. In other words, I often smile tentatively. Sometimes I end-up grinning, not just smiling, just for the sake of my mental being/status. Yes, lately I’ve come to realize that, most present madness is attributed to indulgence in constant frowning expression which showcases, no doubt, fathomless wrinkles on one’s brow.
Though frankly, the nature of melodramas witnessed severally on the Nigeria’s socio-political platform, is nothing to write home about; or, doesn’t call for any manner of smile. If anyone must or chooses to smile over the scenario, it must be within his/her soul, and not to please someone else. For crying out loud; why try and be fake when being real takes less effort? Let’s ride on!
Brethren, at this point, I say unequivocally that, Nigeria as a country has really got it wrong when it calls for politics. If not, how can the entire society be filled or loaded with inconsequential bickering, antagonism, blackmail, criticism, sycophancy, just to mention but a few thereby constituting baseless fracas or pandemonium all in the name of politics? Surely without mincing words, we’ve really got it wrong.
The most devastating aspect of it is the ongoing countless bloodshed taking place all over on a daily basis, for the goal of actualizing nothing but a selfish desire. It’s already written and it’s no longer news that no one is entitled to shed blood, not even his/hers, for whatsoever reason. Needless to say; mankind is not eligible to participate in any act that would warrant or cost the termination of any soul created by the Almighty.
My utmost gladness in this is that, no one cheats nature. Yes, nature takes dominion in any existing territory or activity as the case may be. Believe it or leave it, there’s no man born of a woman, or created by the Almighty, that would ever claim of having cheated nature in one way or the other. You might have noticed that I love using “Almighty”; this is because it is a word that makes me completely happy while addressing God. Thus, I can’t compromise it for any other word whatsoever.
But let’s face the reality. Politics wasn’t meant for antagonism or baseless bickering. I’ve often said it; politics was instituted by God Himself to guarantee absolute leadership thrive amongst mankind. And, we would be fools to say that God wasn’t wise to come-up with such institution.
Sincerely, politics is truly worthwhile. On this note, I advise us to read a book titled “Politics and the Universe” written by Fred Nwaozor, to know more about this crusade. Without politics, I wonder how the society would have looked like, because I’m strongly of the view that it is by politics that societal developments and innovations take place.
But the bitter side of the existence of politics solely instituted by God Himself, is the unnecessary tussle widely witnessed in it, most especially in the African society. To me, such act is childish and shameful.
Therefore, I urge us to quit dancing Makosa when we’re called to dance Hip-hop, or vice-versa; else, we’re liable to end-up in a mere pot of soup if we continue like this. Enough is enough; So we must be deeply mindful of how we stride towards embracing the better side of life. Think about it!

How Do You Lay Your Bed?
HOW DO YOU LAY YOUR BED?
Brethren, frankly the world is not a bed of roses, and it has never been. So, for one to enjoy it to the fullness, he/she must had laid his/her bed aptly and in the right direction. Thus, you must endeavour to check and as well crosscheck your bed prior to bedtime.
Surely, in a land controlled by anarchy and confusion, the arbiter is the judge. This is not unlike observing a one-eye man amidst the blind. Even if you find yourself in any of the above mentioned shoes, either as “an arbiter” or a “one-eye man” as the case may be, courtesy demands that, you lead by example; or in other words, lay your bed in such a manner that it would be lied comfortably upon by the people concerned.
Few weeks ago during my business trip in Rivers State, Port-Harcourt precisely, the countenance of the bed of the hotel suite that I lodged didn’t really please my person. Therefore, I took my precious time to rearrange the bed to my taste in order to experience luxury while lying in it. Thank God, I had a wonderful and fantastic dream having done what I was supposed to do before lying in the bed.
Believe me, several people don’t really pay much attention as regards how their beds are arranged whenever they intend going to bed or the moment they depart from their beds having lied in it.
At this juncture, I ask, how do you lay your bed? Do you just lie in your bed without minding how it is being arranged, each time you go to bed? Or, do you take time to put everything in order to ensure that you lie in a smooth and decent bed? A question everyone is expected to attend, without any iota of hesitation.
I’m too keen about how people lay their beds before lying in it, because I’m strongly of the view that, that is the stepping stone towards actualizing a perfect or lovely dream. Yes, ones bed must be properly put in order, in order to embrace a fantastic sleep, and as well encounter a hearty and cheerful posture after the long-lasted sleep, nap , siesta, or as the case might be. Let’s ride on!
Mind you, laying a bed might be interpreted in many languages based on what is actually at stake. That is, laying a bed involves different dimensions regarding the object/goal of the person involved.
For instance, one who’s seriously preparing for his/her Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) is definitely laying his/her bed towards embracing marvelous results after the exams have been duly taken. In such case, if the candidate fails to prepare adequately before the exams come up, no doubt, failure awaits the candidate in question under normal circumstance, or all things being equal.
In the same vein, a man who intends venturing into marriage and is in serious search for the right woman, is also trying to avoid lying in a coarse bed, so that, he would embrace a happy home in due cause. But, on the contrary, a man who fails to take similar step, or who ignores the efficacy of lying in a bed thoroughly and consciously prepared, would surely be prepared to have a handshake with a state of doom.
It’s already widely in circulation that, “If one fails to plan, he plans to fail”. From my personal view, there’s no two ways about it; yes, it’s either you plan to succeed, or you plan to fail. And, the choice is yours. Honestly, the funniest part of the scenario is that, the choice is yours; thus, you must consciously make a right choice if you really wish to swim in an eternal happiness, or better still, eternal ecstasy.
You must cough up time to lay your bed in such a way that it would benefit both you and anyone who intends to share with your person. In other words, while laying your bed, you must put the people in your life or the people around you, into consideration in order to carry everyone along. Your bed may not only be used by you; others too, might be involved at the long run.
At this point, I urge every living soul to always endeavour to lay his bed adequately, so “Had I known” wouldn’t suddenly become his national anthem. Everyone is expected to devote sufficient time in respect to putting his bed in good shape.
Don’t forget, we all have a bed to lay. And, we remain the sole umpire that can control the laying of our respective beds; no one would do it on your behalf, because, as you lay your bed so you lie in it. Think about it!

But, on the contrary, a man who fails to take similar step, or who ignores the efficacy of lying in a bed thoroughly and consciously prepared, would surely be prepared to have a handshake with a state of doom.
It’s already widely in circulation that, “If one fails to plan, he plans to fail”. From my personal view, there’s no two ways about it; yes, it’s either you plan to succeed, or you plan to fail. And, the choice is yours. Honestly, the funniest part of the scenario is that, the choice is yours; thus, you must consciously make a right choice if you really wish to swim in an eternal happiness, or better still, eternal ecstasy.
You must cough up time to lay your bed in such a way that it would benefit both you and anyone who intends to share with your person. In other words, while laying your bed, you must put the people in your life or the people around you, into consideration in order to carry everyone along. Your bed may not only be used by you; others too, might be involved at the long run.
At this point, I urge every living soul to always endeavour to lay his bed adequately, so “Had I known” wouldn’t suddenly become his national anthem. Everyone is expected to devote sufficient time in respect to putting his bed in good shape.
Don’t forget, we all have a bed to lay. And, we remain the sole umpire that can control the laying of our respective beds; no one would do it on your behalf, because, as you lay your bed so you lie in it. Think about it!

I am indeed humbled to deliver this address in this epoch making occasion of the visit of our dear governor, Chief Owelle Rochas Okorocha, OON – the Senior Advocate of the Masses, to Oru East LGA. Your Excellency, may I at this point welcome you and the formidable Rescue Mission team, especially your darling and lovely wife Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha who has not only proven to be a mother to all but a great motivator and team player in propelling the Rescue Mission to the desired destination.
Your Excellency, as you can see, Oru East is very peaceful and calm now. Within our short stay as Transition Committee of this Local Government Area, we have been working harmoniously and assiduously towards building bridges, mending cracked walls and consolidating on your unprecedented land marks revolutions and achievements through continual massive consultations with our people at the grass-root, and stakeholders especially our party stalwarts. Among these, is the completion of a befitting hall (Owelle Rochas Okorocha Hall) with office apartments situated at the council headquarters, which would be commissioned today by your Excellency, and the rectification of public power supply at the headquarters which was in total blackout for over three years. Sir, I’m pleased to announce that, the aforementioned capital projects were successfully completed within the short frame, due to the magnanimity you showed to us.
Your Excellency, it is no longer news that your government is a people oriented one; thus, our people have unequivocally spoken their minds to us that, this is the only government since the inception of democracy in 1999 that has touched their lives one way or the other. This is why you can see this teeming crowd converging here today to welcome you and your entourage to Oru East. Sir, because of these radical developments in Imo State today, our people have unanimously agreed to move to the “Only performing party” – All Progressives Congress (APC). This record could be seen in the recent membership registration exercise of the party.
Your Excellency, the revolution of your government spanning over, education, security, massive infrastructural development, health care delivery, civil service, agriculture and judiciary reforms, just to mention but a few, can no longer be overemphasized as the achievements speak for themselves, as the Latin people would say “Res Ipsa Loquitor”. Even the critics of this government in their closet and honest reflections have had the cause to ponder on the secret behind these unbelievable achievements.
I’m deeply pleased that Oru East is not left behind this trend of unbelievable revolution by your government. Your government has embarked on the construction and rehabilitation of over 20 roads transcending the various communities that make up Oru East and linking them to our neighbouring communities, including other land mark infrastructural developments. Among these impeccable achievements, I think the dearest to our hearts have remained the water projects and the revolution going on in the educational and health sectors such as the ongoing reconstruction of dilapidated structures cum construction of new ones in the various primary/secondary schools in Oru East thereby making them model modern citadels of learning, and the fathomless Millennium Development Goals’ (MDGs’) programmes that are taking place in all the sectors in the council. Our school children are now paid allowances and can now sit comfortably in their respective classrooms to study in a serene and conducive environment which was not the case in the past.
Secondly, the world-class health care facility once completed will automatically take care of all our primary health care challenges especially in the area of child and maternal mortality, communicable diseases and health care challenges faced by our aged parents, some of whom have devoted their lives and energy in serving this state and our country Nigeria in general.
Above all, we are deeply impressed over the level of
recognitions you have extended to worthy and distinguished
indigenes of Oru East since the inception of your administration,
which include:
The appointment of Chief Donatus Ejimfugha, as the Director General of Imo State Civil Guards.
The promotion of Evang. Esther Obong Egbuna, as the Director General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).
The appointment of Prince Marshal Okafor Anyanwu, as the Interim State Chairman of the ruling party in the state, All Progressives Congress (APC).
The appointment of Mrs. Nma Nzeribe Michael, as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The appointment of Dr. Emma Ogbenta, as the Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor on Community Govt. Council (CGC).
The appointment of Hon. Lawrence Nwobodo, as the Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor on Due Process.
The last but not the least, the recent elevation of Mrs. Stella Udogwu, as the Accountant General of Imo State. Just to mention but a few.
In the same vein your Excellency, I will not finish this address without pointing out some of the proposed desirable projects/initiatives in Oru East that need your urgent attention, to wit:
a. Awo-Omamma, Amiri, Amagu and Akuma rural roads.
b. Okwu Akatta and Ubahaeze Awo-Omamma electrification projects.
c. Sinking of additional boreholes and water scheme at strategic locations within the communities in Oru East.
d. Creation of Courts 2 & 3 of the Imo State High Court, Oru Division at Awo-Omamma and Omuma respectively.
e. Provision of functional daily market for the entire people of Oru East.
f. The last but not the least Sir, we would like you to extend your rescue mission strategy to the ongoing ezeship anomaly in Akuma Autonomous Community, in order to avoid any future communal calamity in the area.
Sir, I’m strongly of the view that, if the above mentioned projects or initiatives are duly actualized, Oru East in its entirety would be a council to reckon with in Imo State at large.
Once again, may I welcome you and your entourage to Oru East, and wish you a safe trip back to your various destinations. May the hand of the Almighty God not depart from you as He uses you to continually and persistently rescue Imo State from shackles of its enemies.

The Profile of Barr. Obinna Amagwula
BRIEF PROFILE OF HON. BARR. OBINNA AMAGWULA, THE TC-CHAIRMAN OF ORU EAST LGA
Truly, some are born great, others achieve greatness, whilst others still have greatness thrust upon them. But rarely do we have these three attributes combined so well in an individual, as in the case in our Awardee here present. I mean none other than Barr. Obinna Augustus Amagwula – Chartered lawyer; staunch member, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); Chairman, A.O. Amagwula & Co. Chambers, Abuja; quintessential politician; and among all, a worthy council leader.
Born at Umuezike in Awo-Omamma, Oru East LGA of Imo State on the 24th October 1974 by Chief & Lolo Richard Ihekweaba Amagwula. He had his early upbringing in Imo State. He attended the famous Santana Primary Boarding School, Awo-Omamma. Thereafter proceeded to Bonus Pastor Seminary, Osina Ideato; and later concluded his secondary education at St. Mary’s Catholic Seminary Umuowa, Orlu, where he sat for his Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), and came out with flying colours to the delight of his parents and well-wishers. While in the latter, he obtained a diploma certificate in Latin.
Due to his brilliant performance at the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, in 1997, he got admission in the University of Calabar (UniCal) Cross River State, to study Law, having obtained Diploma in Public Administration in the same institution. In 2002, as God would have it, he graduated with an excellent grade, which granted him the opportunity to be admitted in the impeccable Nigeria Law School, Abuja in 2004; a programme he also finished with flying colours. Afterwards, he proceeded for his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, which took place in Nasarawa State, where he held the position of the President of Catholic Corpers Association, Keffi.
In 2005, the young and exuberant Obinna Amagwula was called to the Nigerian Bar; a ritual that gave him the mandate to practice as a recognized lawyer in any Nigerian court situated anywhere across the federation.
Like his educational career, Barr. Obinna Amagwula’s work experience spans a wide but impressive range. He started his Law profession with Chancellery Law Chambers Abuja as the Head of Administration. In 2009, he established a functional Law chamber, A.O Amagwula Chambers, in Abuja to enable him and his teeming colleagues carryout their respective functions effectively; a venture that has taken him to numerous places both in Nigeria and in the diaspora, because of his distinguished attributes.
Barr. Amagwula, who is the Chairman of Coalition of Imo State Indigenes Lawyers based in Abuja, the Imo State Coordinator of All Awo-Omamma Indigenes Lawyers, and the first Notary public from Awo-Omamma in Oru East, was a member of the Counsel that brought victory to the amiable Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, at the Apex court, Supreme Court precisely, by the special grace of God.
In 2003, he was a Councillorship candidate in Awo Ward I under the auspices of All Nigerians People’s Party (ANPP). As a distinguished politician, on Thursday January 23 – 2014, he was inaugurated as the Transition Committee (TC) Chairman of Oru East Local Government Area (LGA); an inauguration that was long awaited by the entire people of Oru East due to the implicit respect they have for his person. A position he assumed till date.
So far so good, within a short time in office as the TC-Chairman of Oru East, he has successfully restored peace among the leaders and entire members of the council, by continually calling for reconciliation cum solidarity talks amongst the concerned people. Also, he has completed a befitting hall with office apartments at the council headquarters - Omuma, just to mention but a few.

The Imo State Governor's Proposed Visit to Oru East LGA (Aired News-Talk)
THE GOVERNOR’S PROPOSED TOUR TO ORU EAST LGA, TOMORROW MONDAY MARCH 31, 2014
As soon as a baby is born, the first thing the woman lying in the labour room wants to hear is nothing but the cry of the newly born child; such fascinating mood is not unlike when a newly married man can’t wait to receive the news of his wife’s pregnancy. These and many more similar phenomena are being witnessed on a daily basis in every facet of human endeavours.
Few days ago, the news of the tour to the twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas in Imo State by Governor Rochas Okorocha was widely in circulation in all the nooks and crannies of the state; an information the entire people of the state couldn’t wait to receive just like a woman expecting the cry of her newly born baby, due to their enormous love for the governor in question.
The aforementioned love being exhibited by Imolites both home and in the diaspora, towards the governor, is not unconnected to the level of capital project embarked upon by the governor. Within two years in office, the governor ensured that all the promises he made during his political campaign came to reality, by practically putting virtually everything in place in all the localities in the state.
First and foremost, Governor Rochas Okorocha was the first among all governors in Nigeria, to implement the recent minimum wage that was signed into law by the National Assembly.
He further ensured that, all the civil servants in Imo State were paid as and when due, and as well continued to shower them with tremendous incentives to the greatest surprise of the workers in question; a routine which is being practised till date. Also, the pensioners otherwise known as the Senior Citizens, were not left out.
The governor never stopped at the above remarkable gestures, rather he went further to guarantee thorough free education to all the pupils and students in all the primary and secondary schools in the state respectively; a gesture he later extended to Imo State indigenes studying in all the tertiary institutions of the state.
As a God fearing leader, he thought it wise to ensure that all the roads in Imo State were in good and enticing shape, by awarding contracts of over one thousand kilometres (1000km) of roads including the rural roads in the state, to various contractors; a project that is still ongoing, and could be witnessed by even the blind.
Inter alia, being a governor who sees the masses as a priority, he decided to extend his administration to all the rural areas in Imo State, by instituting the Community Government Council (CGC), so that, every dick and harry in the state can freely and boldly contribute to the developmental stride of their respective autonomous communities.
These and many more projects and initiatives too numerous to mention going on in the state, are the sole reason the people of Imo State unanimously crowned him the Senior Advocate of the Masses (SAM); suffice to say that, he is indeed the heartbeat of that man in the street.

The appointment of Chief Donatus Ejimfugha, as the Director of Imo Civil Guard, whom was formerly one of the Special Advisers to the Governor.
The promotion of Evang. Esther Obong Egbuna, as the Director General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation.
The appointment of Prince Marshal Anyanwu, as the Interim State Chairman of the ruling party in the state, All Progressives Congress (APC).

As soon as a baby is born, the first thing the woman lying in the labour room wants to hear is nothing but the cry of the newly born child; such fascinating mood is not unlike when a newly married man can’t wait to receive the news of his wife’s pregnancy. These and many more similar phenomena are being witnessed on a daily basis in every facet of human endeavours.
Few days ago, the news of the tour to the twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas in Imo State by Governor Rochas Okorocha was widely in circulation in all the nooks and crannies of the state; an information the entire people of the state couldn’t wait to receive just like a woman expecting the cry of her newly born baby, due to their enormous love for the governor in question.
The aforementioned love being exhibited by Imolites both home and in the diaspora, towards the governor, is not unconnected to the level of capital project embarked upon by the governor. Within two years in office, the governor ensured that all the promises he made during his political campaign came to reality, by practically putting virtually everything in place in all the localities in the state.
First and foremost, Governor Rochas Okorocha was the first among all governors in Nigeria, to implement the recent minimum wage that was signed into law by the National Assembly.
He further ensured that, all the civil servants in Imo State were paid as and when due, and as well continued to shower them with tremendous incentives to the greatest surprise of the workers in question; a routine which is being practised till date. Also, the pensioners otherwise known as the Senior Citizens, were not left out.
The governor never stopped at the above remarkable gestures, rather he went further to guarantee thorough free education to all the pupils and students in all the primary and secondary schools in the state respectively; a gesture he later extended to Imo State indigenes studying in all the tertiary institutions of the state.
As a God fearing leader, he thought it wise to ensure that all the roads in Imo State were in good and enticing shape, by awarding contracts of over one thousand kilometres (1000km) of roads including the rural roads in the state, to various contractors; a project that is still ongoing, and could be witnessed by even the blind.
Inter alia, being a governor who sees the masses as a priority, he decided to extend his administration to all the rural areas in Imo State, by instituting the Community Government Council (CGC), so that, every dick and harry in the state can freely and boldly contribute to the developmental stride of their respective autonomous communities.
These and many more projects and initiatives too numerous to mention going on in the state, are the sole reason the people of Imo State unanimously crowned him the Senior Advocate of the Masses (SAM); suffice to say that, he is indeed the heartbeat of that man in the street.

Recent Dimensions of Sexual Abuse
RECENT DIMENSIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE: A PARADOXICAL SCENARIO
Brethren, never allow the negative experiences in your life to spoil all the good things you’re blessed with. Always choose to acquire eternal happiness, because, it is the only factor that can grant you an eternal life. I’m putting up this candid warning because what I witness or hear on a daily basis has suddenly paralyzed my entire skeletal system.
I’ve come to realize lately that, most of us indulge in dirty acts due to the negative experiences encountered in the past. Even, such “dirty acts” have become a way of life of the people involved. Frankly, I’m deeply bemused by this anomaly; this is why I chose to bemoan bitterly over it, through this avenue.
If I may ask; what exactly could make a man in his right senses to change his lifestyle for bad, without being propelled by any impulse? Could it be the natural lingering phenomenon regarding man’s quest to taste what he’s yet to taste? Please, this question really requires an answer, because I’m rightly placed in an extreme state of imbroglio due to the vagueness of most occurrences across the globe.
I don’t think this should also be tagged as a “mystery”, as it’s usually cited by all and sundry when issues that are beyond human comprehension are raised; because I’m strongly of the view that whatever that’s being created or invented by mankind must not be seen as a mysterious phenomenon.
Maybe we should drive straight to our destination, rather than, putting up a digression. Well, our concern for today is all about the recent dimensions of sexual abuses, which I’ve personally tagged as “a paradoxical scenario”.
According to the context of this edition, “sexual” has to do with, those feelings or activities that are connected with the act of sex or with the desire for sex.
Please brethren, isn’t it a paradox for one to be seen enjoying an act that has no iota of link to pleasure? I’m asking this because my eyes have seen, and my both ears have as well heard profoundly as regards several paradoxical anomalies in respect to sexual abuses.
How can a fully fledged man, in his fifties for instance, be caught “making love” to or raping a barely six-year old female child or thereabouts? As if that of child abuse wasn’t enough, they went further to include animals in the barbaric act; of course, recently many has been caught doing it with a goat or dog as the case may be.
Another devastating dimension is the one that has to do with incest. Yes, it’s no longer news that severally, blood related persons have been caught “making love” to each other. For instance, many ladies have been allegedly caught often times sleeping with their younger/elder brothers of the same mother. The most ugly part of this, is that of a father indulging his daughter in the act. What’s actually happening to us? Could it be the sign of end-time as it’s widely believed? Well, let’s ride on!
The most confusing aspect of sexual abuse is the one that has to do with similar sexes or genders. Homosexuality has suddenly dominated the society in spite of the newly signed law by the Nigeria’s National Assembly that forbids the crazy act. If I mention “Nigeria’s National Assembly”, it appears as if the act is only taking place in Nigeria; on the contrary, to the best of my knowledge, this is a global practice that didn’t even commenced in Nigeria.
Inter alia, I’ve even heard of the situation whereby a man was caught having a sexual intercourse with a mad woman. One may ask or exclaim; mad woman? But the fact is that, it is real; yes, the sane and the insane have been reportedly caught in the act. And, the people involved may say, it’s enjoyable. What a paradox!
Even, what about that of extramarital affairs? Of course, several married women had been caught in most occasions “enjoying” the act with another man; or vice-versa. A paradoxical scenario indeed! Honestly, we’re really seeking for the wrath of God in our respective lives, if only we really know who is “God”. Because, going by the countenance of the scenario, it seems the people in question are yet to know who’s God.
What about the situation whereby unmarried youths indulge in the act as if they are participating in football matches? How can something designed for only married couples, be evenly disseminated among all dicks and harries like mere peanuts? Hour of deliverance!
More so, the type that exists in our various churches cannot be overemphasized. In most cases, the so-called clergy men or men of God have allegedly been found sleeping with female members of their respective congregations, all in the name of deliverance, spiritual cleansing or what have you. The most painful part is that, most of the persons involved were married women.
Above all, most pathetically, my utmost decry faces those who continually patronize sex toys, or who only believe in masturbation while wanting to quench their respective sexual urges on a daily basis. We really need to return to our right senses because apparently, we’ve derailed tremendously and lost our senses as well.
I’m of the view that, apart from the so-called social pleasure being derived from the disgusting acts, most of the incidence are linked to occult ritualism. Yes, most of these people indulge in the loathsome acts in order to initiate or renew their occult sacrifices. In other words, those people don’t do it for the sake of pleasure, but solely for the sake of money or wealth. Whilst, some of the participants are believed to be passing through spells due to a certain evil act they committed in the past. Surely, the evil that men do live with them.
But, no matter how far we’ve derailed, we can still turnaround and come back to our creator. Thus, I’m urging each of everyone of us to retrench our respective steps in order to seek for God’s face. Mind you, no sacrifice in respect to cleansing would be too much, if you really and genuinely want to come back to God. I repeat; hour of deliverance.
Who knows, tomorrow might be too late. Therefore, this is the ripe time for the proposed deliverance or total turnaround. Please, don’t take this chance for granted, because you might not be privileged to encounter a second chance. Think about it!

My Solidarity Message to the New Imo State Police Commissioner
MY SOLIDARITY MESSAGE TO THE NEW IMO STATE POLICE BOSS
Brethren, do you know that worry does nothing but steal your joy, and as well keep you very busy doing nothing? In case you were yet to know, believe me, this is nothing but a fact. This is why I always ask you to free yourself and fly; and to actualize this, you must accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence, and most importantly, face your future without fear.
You must thoroughly abide by the above rule if you really wish to distance your person from worry. Thus, you must not take thoroughness for granted when dealing with any matter, if you’re really interested in coming up with the best at the end of the long run.
Lest I forget; few days ago while going through one of the social media I’m addicted to, Facebook precisely, I came across a certain striking news that amused my person greatly. Reportedly, a certain woman in the person of Misao Okawa at the age of 116, who happens to hail from Japan in Asia, was posed as the world’s oldest person. Quickly I asked myself, on what ground did the reporters conclude that this woman was the oldest in the world; were they able to locate all the local or remote localities in the universe before arriving at such amusing conclusion. In other words, did they embrace thoroughness why carrying out their research? Honestly I’m so concerned about thoroughness because I sincerely believe in its efficacy. Please, pardon the digression.
Let’s face the business of the day squarely. And, if the said business must be faced thoroughly, then I wish to quickly remind you of what we have for today, for the interest of those of us with low memory, coupled with those who are just coming. Our business for today remains, my proposed open solidarity message to the current Imo State Police boss who came into the ‘Eastern Heartland’ barely few weeks ago. I proposed to present this message/note because of the interest I’ve for humanitarianism, coupled with activism. As a Crime/Social analyst, and a devoted activist as well, my soul won’t be at rest if I fail to present this piece.
Surely, no doubt, change remains the only constant factor in life; even an imbecile comprehends this language to the fullness. This is the reason we all must be willing and ready to welcome and embrace change at all time. For instance, barely two months ago, we received the striking news that the former Imo State Police Commissioner (boss), among some other state commissioners, would be redeployed to other different police quarters in the country. A news that totally placed my person to a state of imbroglio; needless to say that, I was partially paralyzed. But what else could I do, than to accept the existence of ‘change’, in good faith. Yes, change is our fate, and we must always accept it in good faith. Let’s ride on!
It’s no longer news that a new Police Commissioner in the person of CP Abdulmajid Ali, has arrived in the state, and as well resumed duty. Believe me, prior to his arrival, I prayed vigorously and fervently to God to ensure that someone of higher competence occupies the vacant seat. And, as I’m communicating to you right now, I’m duly convinced that my prayer was answered. So many signs which I’ve observed so far in respect to this, are the proof to my presumption.
The statement the man in question made the day he was formerly hosted (received) by the Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, which I’ll never forget in a hurry, was one of the signs I just mentioned. On that fateful day, at the Government House – Owerri, Monday February 17 – 2014 to be precise, he unequivocally made it clear that, he was in the state for serious assignment and warned criminals to steer clear of the state, with the view that he would make the state extremely hot for them; he further stated that, he was not in the state for a ‘tea party’. Another comment he made that impressed me was the warning he issued to politicians against heating up the polity, thereby stating that, he would not tolerate lawlessness on the parts of the politicians in the state.
That simply means, beyond any reasonable doubt, he’s here for nothing but business, as it was left by his predecessor. And his business remains, protection of lives and property. Above all, I’ve personally gone through his past records, and they were very impressive.
I sincerely pray that, he would never derail from that candid statement he made openly on that special and historic day. I really want him to deliver far more than his immediate predecessor. And, to actualize this, there are some tangible facts he must note.
First and foremost, he must be willing to work with everyone. In other words, his doors must be open for those who are into like business with him. When I mention ‘like business’, I simply mean similar business. We’re on security matter, therefore, there’s no need to expatiate. As a security guru, I expect him to understand my language fully.
Secondly Sir, endeavour to maintain and enhance the ongoing Community Policing in the state. And to actualize this, all hands must be on deck; in a nutshell, every dick and harry has a quota to contribute. Suffice to say; this routine requires absolute and thorough networking. Thus, no facet of the state is expected to be left behind. Inter alia, our borders ought to remain formidable to ensure that, no bad egg enters the state.
Above all, my honourable Commissioner, please I encourage you to be media friendly, so that, everyone in the state would be duly informed on what’s happening in the state as regards security. Believe me, media is a very veritable tool requires in eradication of crimes or societal social-vices. When I say ‘media’, I’m referring to both the print and electronic aspects.
I want you to note Sir, that, Imolites are right behind you. Every patriotic occupant of the state is willing to support your administration. Yes, we’re sincerely by your side because, we anticipate nothing less than the best from this mission. Summarily, we expect nothing but thoroughness from you and your ebullient team.
I also want to disclose to you that, the entire members of Imo Fans Fortress (IMOFAF) – a Non Governmental Organization that fosters unionism among all Imo occupants, which Comrade Fred Nwaozor is the Founder/Leader, are ever ready to work hand-in-glove with your leadership. The interest of Imo as a whole is IMOFAF’s paramount concern, therefore, it must assist anyone who is sincerely willing and ready to protect or safeguard the four-corners of the state.
At this juncture, I say, you’re highly welcome to the Eastern Heartland, Sir. But don’t forget, for you to serve us better, you must see yourself as an indigene of the state; that is, as one whose blood runs in the state. Think about it, while I continue to pray for you and your entire team!

Lest I forget; few days ago while going through one of the social media I’m addicted to, Facebook precisely, I came across a certain striking news that amused my person greatly. Reportedly, a certain woman in the person of Misao Okawa at the age of 116, who happens to hail from Japan in Asia, was posed as the world’s oldest person. Quickly I asked myself, on what ground did the reporters conclude that this woman was the oldest in the world; were they able to locate all the local or remote localities in the universe before arriving at such amusing conclusion. In other words, did they embrace thoroughness why carrying out their research? Honestly I’m so concerned about thoroughness because I sincerely believe in its efficacy. Please, pardon the digression.
Let’s face the business of the day squarely. And, if the said business must be faced thoroughly, then I wish to quickly remind you of what we have for today, for the interest of those of us with low memory, coupled with those who are just coming. Our business for today remains, my proposed open solidarity message to the current Imo State Police boss who came into the ‘Eastern Heartland’ barely few weeks ago. I proposed to present this message/note because of the interest I’ve for humanitarianism, coupled with activism. As a Crime/Social analyst, and a devoted activist as well, my soul won’t be at rest if I fail to present this piece.
Surely, no doubt, change remains the only constant factor in life; even an imbecile comprehends this language to the fullness. This is the reason we all must be willing and ready to welcome and embrace change at all time. For instance, barely two months ago, we received the striking news that the former Imo State Police Commissioner (boss), among some other state commissioners, would be redeployed to other different police quarters in the country. A news that totally placed my person to a state of imbroglio; needless to say that, I was partially paralyzed. But what else could I do, than to accept the existence of ‘change’, in good faith. Yes, change is our fate, and we must always accept it in good faith. Let’s ride on!
It’s no longer news that a new Police Commissioner in the person of CP Abdulmajid Ali, has arrived in the state, and as well resumed duty. Believe me, prior to his arrival, I prayed vigorously and fervently to God to ensure that someone of higher competence occupies the vacant seat. And, as I’m communicating to you right now, I’m duly convinced that my prayer was answered. So many signs which I’ve observed so far in respect to this, are the proof to my presumption.
The statement the man in question made the day he was formerly hosted (received) by the Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, which I’ll never forget in a hurry, was one of the signs I just mentioned. On that fateful day, at the Government House – Owerri, Monday February 17 – 2014 to be precise, he unequivocally made it clear that, he was in the state for serious assignment and warned criminals to steer clear of the state, with the view that he would make the state extremely hot for them; he further stated that, he was not in the state for a ‘tea party’. Another comment he made that impressed me was the warning he issued to politicians against heating up the polity, thereby stating that, he would not tolerate lawlessness on the parts of the politicians in the state.
That simply means, beyond any reasonable doubt, he’s here for nothing but business, as it was left by his predecessor. And his business remains, protection of lives and property. Above all, I’ve personally gone through his past records, and they were very impressive.
I sincerely pray that, he would never derail from that candid statement he made openly on that special and historic day. I really want him to deliver far more than his immediate predecessor. And, to actualize this, there are some tangible facts he must note.
First and foremost, he must be willing to work with everyone. In other words, his doors must be open for those who are into like business with him. When I mention ‘like business’, I simply mean similar business. We’re on security matter, therefore, there’s no need to expatiate. As a security guru, I expect him to understand my language fully.
Secondly Sir, endeavour to maintain and enhance the ongoing Community Policing in the state. And to actualize this, all hands must be on deck; in a nutshell, every dick and harry has a quota to contribute. Suffice to say; this routine requires absolute and thorough networking. Thus, no facet of the state is expected to be left behind. Inter alia, our borders ought to remain formidable to ensure that, no bad egg enters the state.
Above all, my honourable Commissioner, please I encourage you to be media friendly, so that, everyone in the state would be duly informed on what’s happening in the state as regards security. Believe me, media is a very veritable tool requires in eradication of crimes or societal social-vices. When I say ‘media’, I’m referring to both the print and electronic aspects.
I want you to note Sir, that, Imolites are right behind you. Every patriotic occupant of the state is willing to support your administration. Yes, we’re sincerely by your side because, we anticipate nothing less than the best from this mission. Summarily, we expect nothing but thoroughness from you and your ebullient team.
I also want to disclose to you that, the entire members of Imo Fans Fortress (IMOFAF) – a Non Governmental Organization that fosters unionism among all Imo occupants, which Comrade Fred Nwaozor is the Founder/Leader, are ever ready to work hand-in-glove with your leadership. The interest of Imo as a whole is IMOFAF’s paramount concern, therefore, it must assist anyone who is sincerely willing and ready to protect or safeguard the four-corners of the state.
At this juncture, I say, you’re highly welcome to the Eastern Heartland, Sir. But don’t forget, for you to serve us better, you must see yourself as an indigene of the state; that is, as one whose blood runs in the state. Think about it, while I continue to pray for you and your entire team!
