Sometimes, people are genuinely preoccupied, distracted or dealing with personal/career challenges that have nothing to do with you.
Do not be too quick to interpret someone's silence, delayed response or momentary lack of attention as a deliberate rejection. Learn to give people the benefit of the doubt rather than allowing assumptions to dictate your relationships.
Besides, relationships thrive on communication, understanding, patience and mutual tolerance. If you feel neglected or unappreciated, learn to communicate your feelings instead of resorting to silent withdrawal.
Nobody is perfect, and people will inevitably fall short of our expectations at different times. You cannot build meaningful relationships if your first response to every perceived disappointment is to retreat into your shell.
Emotional maturity requires the ability to express displeasure without necessarily severing emotional connections.
However, this does not mean you should continually force yourself into spaces where your presence is neither valued nor appreciated. Know your worth, establish healthy boundaries and have the courage to walk away from consistently toxic or one-sided relationships.
But learn to distinguish between deliberate disregard and occasional human imperfections. Self-respect is important, but so is emotional intelligence.
Do not allow your sensitivity to become a barrier to meaningful human connections. Think about it.
